Make sure the people understand what you’re telling them. Have them repeat back. If you tell them I want you to go over here and put out that fire, have them repeat the words back to you, not just “Do you understand”? And just shaking their head doesn’t always do it. You want to really have them repeat back to you what your job is. Don’t ask yes or no questions. That way there’s no confusion.
