This year BERT is honored to have the opportunity to present at the Region IX VPPPA Safety Summit.

As many of our readers will know, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has a Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) recognizing, “employers and workers who have implemented effective workplace safety and health management systems and maintain injury and illness rates below national averages.” This summit, an association for VPP participants, serves California, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada and Guam by providing a network through which safety  experts and organizations can connect with each other. It maintains a close partnership with CalOsha, ADOSH, Nevada OSHA and the Region IX office of OSHA, allowing people from each to learn from one another and improve the overall safety of the entire region. Many large OSHA VPP companies, and those interested in this prestigious designation, will be attending.

It is a great place to network with other leaders in the field of health and safety, and gives organizations like our own the unique opportunity to share our message and program with others. The conference is going to be held on  April 25-29 in Chandler, Arizona, and we will be presenting the seminar “Culture of Safety Training for a Multi-lingual Workforce.” We will be sharing how we have seen benefits from multilingual training, and how others can implement it in their own programs.

We look forward to this wonderful opportunity for our organization to learn, grow and teach at the VPPPA Safety Summit, and hope to see you and your businesses there as well. For more information, go to the VPPPA Region IX website to learn more about the association, its seminars, and the event itself.
